Lior is a commercial lawyer that focuses on legal advice to businesses in an international setting. He advises companies and individuals on domestic Israeli and Belgian law, including corporate law, real estate law and labor law. His expertise further includes regulatory advice in the fields of data privacy (incl. GDPR) and banking law. Finally, Lior also maintains an international estate practice, focusing on complex inheritance cases with heirs and assets in multiple countries. Lior also regularly serves as an expert witness for the Israeli courts.
Lior began his career at the World Bank, working on the Doing Business project, collecting regulatory data on court efficiency and comparative tax burden. The work was based in Washington DC with working trips to Africa, South America and Europe. After that followed a stint as a commercial litigation lawyer at the Brussels Bar in Belgium. Finally, before starting his own practice, Lior worked at E. Landau law office in Jerusalem with a focus on international investment arbitration and estate law.
Lior holds an LL..M. from Harvard Law School. Prior to that, he obtained a first and second degree in law from the University of Leuven in Belgium (KULeuven), while also spending a year studying law at the University of Salamanca in Spain as an Erasmus student. In addition, Lior also holds a BA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem. He is fluent in English, Hebrew, Dutch, French and Spanish, and has intermediate knowledge of German, Portuguese and Russian.
